Printer Recycling

Brother machines are collected and recycled in accordance with European legislation, the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE). The legislation outlines a series of targets companies must meet to reduce the amount of waste electronics going to landfill. Each of our sales facilities is a member of a WEEE compliance organisation or scheme in their country, which recover and recycle WEEE on behalf of companies to meet the targets set under the directive.

How to recycle old Brother printers and devices?

Printers, scanners, labelling machines and other Brother electrical devices can be recycled for free at the end of their life. Here is how you do it:

  • Take your device(s) to your local Bring Centre and/or Civic Amenity Recycling Centre, where they can be recycled free of charge.
  • You can participate in WEEE Ireland Public Collection Days.
  • If you are buying a new device, you can bring your unwanted goods to the same retailer for free recycling (on a one for one, like for like basis).
