The Brother Schools Cross Country featuring schools athletes from Dublin, Leinster and beyond will take place in Santry Demesne Park this Wednesday 9th October with up to 2,000 young athletes taking part.
This is the eleventh running of the Brother Schools Cross Country and it is an event which has grown from some 750 athletes on the first year to now attracting athletes from all over Leinster and beyond, indeed there are three schools travelling from Northern Ireland for the event.
It provides the ideal introduction for young athletes to cross country running and is the opening event of the schools cross country season.
This year the event has been widened to include 4th class primary schools with the 4th class girls primary schools getting proceedings underway at 12 noon and the event then concluding with the senior boys racing over 4,500m later in the afternoon.
