Here we show footage of deforestation where trees are cut down for their timber or burnt down to clear the land for crops. These trees absorb harmful carbon dioxide which is a climate warming gas. When the trees are burnt they release this gas back into the atmosphere. The trees are also a habitat for thousands of species of plants, animals and insects.

This clip shows the life of local students living in the rainforest. Here we see the resources they already have as well as those they need. These students understand the importance of the Amazon rainforest, not just to them but to the entire globe.
